| | FIRE ALARM
When you hear the fire alarm:
- Always stand to leave the building as soon as you hear the alarm
- If the alarm sounds for just a few seconds, it is a test - this is usually a Friday at approximately 11:00
- you may or may not have been notified of a test
- if the alarm stops after a few seconds return to what you were doing
- if it continues to sound, you must continue to leave the building
- NEVER return to the building until you are authorised to do so, even if the alarm has stopped! The alarm may stop because the fire may damage it.
